Another beautiful day :)

Libby dug right in to the sandpile.
Kolbe's working hard in Gpa's garden.
Libby thought the sand tasted good.
This morning Kolbe and Gpa watered trees and tried to get caught up on all of Gpa's work from the past couple of weeks. Kolbe got to play at Great Gma Katie's for about an hour and then he, Libby and I went for a walk. After lunch and naps we played outside in Gma and Gpa's sandbox in the backyard. Libby loved the sand! Kolbe was more interested in working in the garden. He may have done more harm than good. Luckily no seeds have yet been planted.
Libby got a nice compliment today. Gma Katie told us how much all of the people at church love to watch Libby. Katie's group of friends were commenting on what a great personality Libby has. They said she has a lot of spunk. I personally think Libby makes them all feel good because she loves to smile and make eyes at everyone during the service. They said they love to see Libby and Kolbe come in to church. I guess they know they will be entertained. :)
I was just looking in the archives of the website from October. It is hard to believe what the kids looked like the last time we saw Dad. They have both changed so much. Libby was just getting out of her "Stranger Anxiety" phase. She was pretty leary of Jeff when he came home, but by Halloween she was out of that phase completely. She really does have a spunky personality. When we go anywhere she smiles at anyone who gives her a little attention. I have always loved babies who smile easily and she definitely does. She is a happy baby and very content. She tries to say several words now, but has never been much of a babbler. My friend mentioned you don't hear much from her as far as googoo's and gaagaa's but she does like to squeal in delight and try to say words with some meaning. Sounds like her dad, huh? Doesn't talk just to hear himself talk, he waits until he has something of substance to say versus her mom who rambles on saying any and everything on her mind.
She gets around very fast crawling, though a bit awkward looking it is a very effective method of transportation. She definitely gets around faster using her unique way than crawling the traditional way. Each crawling motion she makes takes her farther than the 2 hands, 2 knees approach. She uses one of her legs like a claw and it pulls her body quite a distance with each "step."
Kolbe's language is what has changed so much for him since we were last around Jeff. He has always been very inquisitive, but now he has the ability to ask questions. "Where does snow come from?" "Why is it dark outside?" "What are you wearing that bandaid for?" Immediately after he asked the last question he changed it to "Why are you wearing that bandaid?" He must have thought he had asked the question incorrectly the first time. I'm sure he'll be correcting my grammer before too long. Great...
Kolbe's looks have also changed since Jeff was home. Sometimes I look at him and think he's looking more like a little boy than a baby. I don't know what a 2 and a half year old is called to be quite honest, a toddler, a preschooler, what?
With any luck we will see Dad again within the next couple of months. We miss him!
