4th of July Photos
Sorry for the delay getting the pictures posted. I have tried several times over the past couple of days and they would not display for some reason. So, here they are.
Open-mouthed, the only kind of kisses Libby knows how to give. Whenever Kolbe and Libby see each other in the morning, or after naps, she'll try to give him a kiss. He says, "Don't give me a slobbert kiss, Libby." I think he means slobbery. ;) A big thanks to Gpa for coming with us!
Kolbe was anxious for a pony ride, until he actually got on the pony. As soon as it started moving he hollered over to me, "Okay, I'm ready to get off now." There are a couple of assistants to help the kids if the need arises. Kolbe was fine when someone was walking along beside him. I can't say that he ever quite got to the point of relaxing and enjoying the ride though.
Now, the moonwalk, that's a different story. He had a great time running, tumbling, and jumping! This moonwalk was kind of a mini obstacle course. Libby was on the side watching him and cheering him on. She seemed to be as excited as he was.
We had to stop for a little snack while watching the Marching Cobras. Libby got distracted, staring intently at the balloon man on stilts. Kolbe asked lots of questions about the guy with funny legs, he just couldn't quite figure him out.Other events the kids enjoyed there: Feeding the animals at the makeshift petting zoo, doing arts and crafts, listening to a childrens singer/entertainer.
One last comment, be careful saying "arts and crafts" around Kolbe. Whenever he hears it he chimes in "You're supposed to not say that." (He is not allowed to say "crap.")
